In context to this April's Sexual Harassment Awareness Month, The HONOR Project: Men and Women for Others stand with a belief that any individual should not be alone in facing this kind of struggle.

We should all continue to speak up and become the voice of the silenced. We should confront and bring an end to the people behind their pain. For it is more than time to finally live in peace.

TW / Abuse, Harassment.

Did you know that 1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe physical violence? In today's topic, we tackle the abuse of the millions of people that have been struggling with most of their lives due to physical, mental, or sexual matters.

Abuse is a phenomenon that occurs in today's unfortunate society. On that account, the victims of sexual abuse should be viewed more than a cautionary tale due to the fact that the victims are human beings who are capable of long term damage.

Men and Women for Others is a campaign to eliminate traditional mentalities especially if applied to certain situations. To enumerate, a woman drinking in a bar, or chilling with her guy friends, or perhaps a woman in a short skirt walking along the streets. None of the aforementioned scenarios should lead to such close-minded assumptions. To put it concisely, a woman should be able to drink without having to worry about her safety, a woman should be able to hang out with men under safe conditions and never assume that all men are capable of r*pe, and a woman should never have to dress up for anyone out of agitation for her own welfare. For all individuals, men and women, and no matter what sexual orientation a person identifies as; all are capable of hurt and trauma. With that said, everybody deserves an equal amount of respect.

Fortunately, there are people who have gathered sufficient strength in order to speak up when something like this happens, sadly, there are people who are too frightened to even tell their loved ones that she/he is under such circumstance due to the constant fear that the situation might be even worse, even shamed or blamed. What is more horrendous is that there are people who continue to fight silent battles for there is no manner to simply tell anyone. Our hearts go out to all of them.

It is never your fault. You are heard. You matter.

Stand strong with us through your support via likes, comments, shares; it will mean the world to us, to the many more advocates of gender equality, and to all individuals who continue to voice out their struggles.
